I'll be posting some cool Earth Science related videos and links here for your viewing pleasure.
Here are some awesome videos from SciShow about the sun, solar energy, helium, and why the world won't end in 2012.
- The USGS site has some awesome earthquake shaking simulations of the 1906 Earthquake, the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake, and what could happen if there were a major Earthquake on the Hayward Fault.
- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Environmental Visualization lab often has some great weather and ocean videos and simulations.
- I strongly recommend Bill Bryson's book, A Short History of Nearly Everything. It's my favorite science book out there. Available at the library or Amazon.

The sun never sets for good portions of the year in the Arctic due to the tilt of the Earth
Video footage of the Japanese tsunami doing lots of damage. The tsunami was caused by water displacement in an earthquake under the ocean. Note that a tsunami looks more like a quick flood than a traditional breaking wave.
